Okay. The first day was all good with the Optoma HD67N. I ran it continuously for almost 4 hours. No overheating issues and fan noise was also low. No annoyance caused. I did "smell" the heat after 2 hours of continuous run but I kept it on until the end of the movie. Fortunately no issues.
On the negative side, the in-built speaker is hardly audible. But no complains. At the cost of £450 I cannot expect everything perfect. And anyways, I believe, for home cinema you will definitely connect to a better audio system and not rely on projector speaker.
I did not play much with the brightness and contrast settings, just kept it on the pre-configured "Home Cinema" mode, which I believe is perfect.
Today, I tried to project on the wall to check its full projection capacity. I nearly kept the projector 12 feet away from the wall. Below are some pictures attached. Note that these pictures are not taken in complete dark. There was mild day light into the room. I did not get a chance to capture a video today. Maybe I'll post it tomorrow!
